First things first.

domain + hosting.

The first question we ask is “have you registered a domain?” A domain is basically your website address. Choosing your domain is one thing, the next is making sure its available and purchasing it on a registrar. Domains typically cost somewhere between $5 to $20 for a non-premium domain name, per year. If you have a domain already, great!

The next thing we need is a host. Hosting is the place where your website will live. Generally, a shared server with a third-party hosting company is sufficient for most websites. The annual cost for a shared hosting plan with cPanel is around $100 to $200, depending on the hosting company. Private servers cost more, and are sometimes necessary.

If your existing hosting plan does not meet the requirements needed to host your new website, we may need to upgrade, and we will advise you on the best option. If you require that your domain be transferred out from one registrar to another, we can do that, however there is an additional cost for the time to initiate and complete the process.  If you require that your existing email be moved from one server to another, there is an additional cost for email setup and support. Please see Technical Add-Ons.

you own it.

This is important. We do not take any ownership of your domain + hosting. We do require access for set up, however we do not own them. You do. Which means you pay them, not us. You will be responsible for the annual costs of maintaining your hosting plan, to keep your site live. We do provide ongoing technical support for domain and hosting-related issues after launch. Please see our Basic Maintenance Package.
